The Week After Christmas

Cake Nation, you astound me. We thought we were going to slow way down after Christmas. We were fretting over nothing, obviously! You all are filling our calendar like crazy! Here are a few of the cakes going out this weekend:

NEW MENU

Okay Cake Nation. You've been asking so here it is! The new menu that begins on January 3rd:

EVERYDAY:

TUESDAY:
Boston Cream Pie - Vanilla cake filled with sweet Bavarian Cream and topped with our rich Chocolate Buttercream.

Cookie Dough - Vanilla Cake baked with a scrumptious dollop of cookie dough in the middle. It's topped with our delicious Brown Sugar Buttercream and mini Chocolate Chips.

Pretty In Pink - Pink Almond Cake filled with Vanilla buttercream and topped with Pink Almond Buttercream and Pink and White Sprinkles

Cinnamon Roll - Our famous Snickerdoodle Batter filled and topped with Brown Sugar Buttercream and then adorned with a cinnamon roll.


WEDNESDAY
Malt Ball Cupcake - Vanilla Cake baked with crushed malted milk balls in the batter filled and topped with our delicious Chocolate Buttercream and a malt ball.

Chocolate Raspberry Delight - Chocolate Cake filled with sweetly tart raspberry filling and then topped with our rich Raspberry Buttercream and drizzled in Chocolate.

S'Mores - One of our most popular cupcakes are back! Chocolate Cake filled with a sweet Marshmallow buttercream and topped with Vanilla Buttercream that has crushed graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows on top!

THURSDAY
Apple Butter Cake - Vanilla Cake that has a generous portion of Apple Butter in the batter. It's then filled and topped with our famous Cinnamon Buttercream.

HO HO Cupcake - A Chocolate Cake filled with our Signature Vanilla Buttercream that's then dipped in a decadent Chocolate shell complete with the white swirls!

Earl Gray & Lemon - This is a delicious vanilla and Early Gray cake filled and topped with a tart lemon buttercream and dusted with a few crushed tea leaves.

FRIDAY
*NEW & IMPROVED* Salted Caramel - Chocolate Cake filled with gooey caramel  topped with Caramel Buttercream & coarse sea salt.

Green Tea & Almond - Fragrant Almond Cake topped with rich and decadent Green Tea Buttercream that's sprinkled in Almond slices.

Shirley Temple - The two layered cupcake has one layer of pink cherry batter and one layer of sweet vanilla batter that's topped with Pink Cherry Buttercream and of course, a straw and a cherry!

Angel Food -  A lower calorie option, our light and airy Angel Food Cake topped with a delicious fruit topping (topping will change weekly).

Saturday will always be a mix up of the best selling cupcakes of the week!

Graduation Books (cake)

I love making books. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm an ultra book worm. Either way, these were for a college graduation. I thought they turned out really great!

Holiday tips from Cake,Hope, & Love

While we know everyone is the in the final scramble to get everything just right for Christmas, we wanted to give a few tips to make ordering from CH&L easier, especially with LivingSocial/Groupon:

* LivingSocials cannot be redeemed with any other offers. One example of this would be our 2 For Tuesday Deal. We can ring cupcakes off the counter for you at regular price so you can still grab those flavors, though. You cannot combine Living Socials for a single order. You can place multiple orders on the same day as long as the orders are being picked up different days. 

* We are completely booked for orders, cupcakes AND cakes, until December 28th. Even for LivingSocials. All orders are subject to availability. You can place orders for the future, beyond the Jan.03 expiration date, and redeem your voucher as long as the orders is paid in full before Jan. 03.  

* We are going to be closed on Saturday, Dec. 24th, Christmas Eve. We will be open Friday, December 23rd from 10-7 for you to stop by and grab your Christmas sweets.

* You don't have to place special orders to get cupcakes. We have cupcakes everyday on the counter at the shop. It's like cupcakes on demand! We're open 10-6 this Thursday & 10-7 on Friday. Remember, we're closed on Saturday through Monday. We'll reopen Tuesday.

* Smiles & breathe. Remember, this is the most wonderful time of the year. Enjoy friends, cupcakes, and family. We're certainly looking forward to it!

Mail Carrier Bag

Sometimes when I'm with a cake client I begin describing a cake that would be totally awesome. The client agrees and books on the spot. When they leave - I suddenly remember - HOLY SMOKES! I'm the one that's got to create that cake! Well, this was one of those orders. Although, about three quarters if the way through it, I was in love with it! Thanks for such an amazing order!
