How far in advance should I order?
Here at Cake, Hope, and Love we are pretty selective with orders. We want each and every cake we make to have high quality and one of a kind characteristics. Because of this, we ask you give as much notice for orders as possible. For Special Occasion orders we ask for a one week notice. For Wedding orders, we would like to have a 2 month lead time.Cupcakes orders need 48 hours notice (unless over 50 cuppies, then one week lead time is needed). If you've selected a popular date, we suggest you contact us as soon as possible to secure the date in our books.

Is there a price list?
Every Cake from CH&L is uniquely designed to be customized for your occassion. For this reason, it's very hard to put together a standard price list. As a rule of thumb, here are some guide lines to go by:
Wedding Cakes:
Frosted Cake starts at $2.50 per serving
Fondant Cake starts at $3.50 per serving
Premium flavors & fillings are an additional charge.
Cuppies:
Traditional Cuppies with traditional buttercream are $1.50 per cupcake.
Other flavors (Cinnamon, Lemon, etc) $1.75 per cupcake
(premium buttercreams are an additional $.25 per cupcake)
Filled are an additional $.40 per cupcake.
Sprinkles or Sparkles are an additional - $.25 per cupcake
Customized 2-D toppers are an additional - $.50 per cupcake
Sculpted Toppers are an additional - $1.50 per cupcake
Classy Cuppies are $31 per dozen or $16.50 for a half dozen.
Minis are $8 a dozen with a minimum order of 24.

All of our cakes are double (around 4" tall) and come filled and covered in a layer of our Signature Vanilla Buttercream or our gorgeous and delicious vanilla fondant. All of our prices include a basic design such as zebra print, polka dots, and stripes. Bows, castles, embellished name plaques, etc are an additional charge.

Child's Party:
Standard: 2 Hour Room Rental, 24 decorated cupcakes, fresh fruit, cookie, chocolate dipped pretzels, and a drink - $260 (priced for 8 guests - additional guests are an additional charge)
Deluxe: 2 Hour Room Rental, 8" Decorated Cake, 12 Cupcakes, Fresh Fruit, Decorated Cookies, Dipped Pretzels, 1 Premium Item (such as caramel Corn or Cotton Candy), and a drink - $315
Premium: 2 Hour Room Rental, 2 Tiered Cake (8" & 6"), 12 Cupcakes, 12 Push Pops, Goodie Bags per child, Fruit, Decorated Cookies, Chocolate Dipped Pretzels, 1 Premium Item, and a drink - $401
Celebration Event:
Standard: 2 Hour Room Rental, 24 Cupcakes (tower), Fresh Fruit, Shortbread Cookie, and a drink - $306
Deluxe: 2 Hour Room Rental, 8" Cake, 12 Cupcakes, Fresh Fruit, Biscotti, Shortbread Cookie, and a drink - $355
Premium: 2 Hour Room Rental, 2 Tiered Cake (8" & 6"), 12 Cupcakes, Fresh Fruit, Biscotti, Shortbread Cookie, Dipped Madeleines, 1 Granola, Simple Favors, and a Drink - $405
Cupcake Party Packages:
Max of 15 kids and a minimum of 5. $5 for 2 cupcakes and $10 for 4. $75 Room Rental for 1.5 hours. Includes tables, cupcake decorations, plates, and take home containers.
Do you offer delivery for celebration cake and cupcakes?
We absolutely do! We can deliver your sweets to the venue for you at a fee of $25 for the Dayton area. We can also deliver outside of the Dayton area for an additional charge. Please contact us at thebestcake@gmail.com to see about deliveries for your event. Booking a delivery is subject to availability at the time of inquiry. Delivery charges are added to the total balance.
How do I book a date?
For Celebration Orders:
First, make sure the date you are interested in is open. The booked dates calendar here on the site is updated often. When you've found a date you are interested in, contact us with the form at the bottom of this page. We ask for a 50% deposit when booking the order. The remainder of the balance is due upon pick up of the order.
For Wedding Cakes:
After checking to see if your date is open, you can contact us through the form on this page. We require a $100 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit to hold the date. When you choose to book with CH&L, that deposit goes towards to final balance of your cake. The full balance is due two weeks before your event date. If for any reason the order is denied delivery, the customer is still responsible for the remaining balance of the order.
Do you offer wedding tastings?
We sure do! Our tastings and consultations are offered as a courtesy to our bride & a guest. We will serve our Chocolate and Vanilla Cake with our Signature Vanilla Buttercream. You may also choose ONE additional flavor that you'd like to try at the time of the consultation. You may choose more than one flavor at an additional charge of $5 per flavor.
